2861 | Moved to Fremont when she wsa 3 years old. OBITUARY Carol Ann Krings, 80, formerly of Fremont, Nebraska, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Taylor House on Des Moines's east side. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016, 11am, at Grandview Park Funeral Home with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9am at the funeral home with family greeting friends from 10 to 11am on Saturday. She was born June 14, 1936 in Humphrey, Nebraska. Two years later the family moved to Fremont, where she spent the next 76 years before moving to Pleasant Hill, Iowa in 2015. Carol graduated from Bergan High School in 1954. She worked at Arbor Manor as a nurse's aide for 26 years. Carol was a devoted mother to her daughter Kathy. She never met a stranger, she loved to talk to people, she loved going to the casino and shopping. Carol is survived by her sister Gloria (Clint) Presnell, sister in law Diane (Dick) Krings, daughter Kathy (Kraig) Kramme, granddaughter Courtney (Marcus) Thompson, grandson Kyle Kramme, great grandson Cooper Thompson and many nieces and nephews.
